Kenneth Grahame: The Wind in the Willows

A nice book. Strangely, its various chapters have their own moods, often quite dissimilar: there are subdued, atmospheric chapters; others are determinedly comical; some are obvious (but not strained) allegories, and so on; yet somehow it all works together.
