Scottish legislative programme 2015-16

At the beginning of the month, Nicola Sturgeon announced what the SNP would like to push through during the last session of the Parliament before election.

It’s interesting that with, for instance, the Land Reform Bill still left over from the previous session, and the Private Tenancies and the Scottish Fiscal Commission Bills among the new ones, for both the SNP and the opposition a new system of national testing in primary schools seems to be the salient proposal. Possibly because just about every citizen once attended a primary school and consequently feels like an expert on the subject?
