Kezia Dugdale, MSP for the Lothian Region, won by 72.1% of the vote over Ken Macintosh to become the successor of Jim Murphy as the Leader of the Scottish Labour Party, with Alex Rowley, MSP for Cowdenbeath, winning the deputy role.

I wonder for how long. It’s only been seven years since I came by the opportunity to follow Scottish politics, and during that time the post was held by Wendy Alexander, Iain Gray, Johann Lamont and Jim Murphy (plus the acting leaders: Anas Sarwas and Iain Gray again). Makes one less ashamed of using exactly the same title for the post as everybody else . . .
