The Scottish Government has published one of the key bills announced by Nicola Sturgeon last November for this year.

I naturally haven’t read the 100+ pages of the bill itself, only the BBC report. I guess the proposed end of the tax relief for shooting estates would do more good than harm to the country, but “forcing the sale of land if owners are blocking economic development” does sound rather suspicious. On the other hand, a land register to clarify information about land’s ownership has long been overdue.
