2014 road fatalities

There were 200 people killed on Scottish roads in 2014. That means 28 more deaths than during the previous year, the first increase in eight years.

Bad news indeed. Even so, the per capita number (approximately 1:25,000) remains lower than the 629 road deaths (46 more than the year before) in the Czech Republic (approximately 1:16,000).
