Scottish 16 and 17-year-olds franchised

Following a similar procedure before last year’s independence referendum (using Section 30 of the Scotland Act 1998), Holyrood passed a bill to extend the right to vote in Scottish Parliament and local government elections to 16 and 17-year-olds.

And rightly so. Taxing somebody’s income without letting them vote is unethical, simple as that.
