Clegg about offending

It seems that in the aftermath of horror stories like the last week’s Charlie Hebdo massacre people tend more than usual towards sweeping, unqualified generalisations. Nick Clegg, for instance, is reported as claiming that “people have to be free to offend each other”, that “we have no right not to be offended”.

Remember this the next time you read about somebody who has been approached by the police for having made some desperate remark on Twitter about this or that celebrity.
