“Queensferry Crossing”

Popular vote decided that of the five candidates, Queensferry Crossing was chosen as the official name for the future third bridge over the Firth of Forth near Edinburgh. It’s possibly the least evil, although the attribute could just as well, possibly even more appropriately, describe the current road bridge, and I share with some others the suspicion that in everyday speech we’ll all call it a bridge, never a crossing.
