Marmite

I don’t attempt to become Britisher than a native Britisher, but every now and then I do try and find out first-hand what something considered typically British is like. Last week it was Marmite. Well, thouroughly mixed with margarine the taste reminds of beef bouillon; good, though nothing to write home about. However, spread on a piece of bread on its own, however thinly, it’s as good as unswallowable…
