According to a survey by Russian Levada-Centre polling agency, only 57% of those questioned thought Russia needed democracy (the lowest number since 2006).

The funny (or not at all funny) thing is that notwithstanding 60% also said it would be better for Russia if the president controlled both the courts and the parliament.
Anyway, I wonder what the results would be in other Slavonic countries – if people really spoke their minds. Probably even more favouring the “iron fist” model, I dare say.
